painful reminders

Tell your love ones, you love them.

Life lesson, painful moments like now.

Living life on edge, it's a reminder.

Cos it is not that everything will be in its time.

My mum & me.
I spent a lot of time connecting with my mum.
Especially during weekend.
Over a cup of green tea and sweet corn.
Check out this sweet corn from major supermarkets.
It's super sweet as compared to the normal ones.

Delights of life:
I love The Body Shop.
I like this "pom pom" gel very much. Thank you.

Yoga

Me & my silliness.
Love my yoga lessons and the shower after it.
Minis are packed in my gym bag. Hair spray included if there were special plans after lesson.
Yesterday, I was reminiscing about some happy moments while applying hand cream... realised it was my lip butter when I smelt Papaya.
Yes, super oily.
Not that bad as compared to some years back when I mistaken facial form as toothpaste. eeeewwww! Awful taste.

Poh Piah Stall

薄饼 (fresh spring roll)

A stall near my house, selling super tasty traditional poh piah. 20 over years, it's my childhood food, I grew up with this stall and the uncle.

Sometimes after work, a craving for this poh piah to warm my stomach.
Just recently, @ about 9pm.
Uncle: "Wow, so late? Over time again."
Me: "Yeah."
Uncle: "The job market isn't good. You must tolerate any hard work to pull through this time."

This conversation took place while he spread the crushed peanuts and bean sprout with confidence. Interestingly, there seemed to be a rhythm in everything he does.

Taking things for granted, especially for people/things that are close/near to us.
I realized that I didn't even feature this poh piah stall on my "I recommend" category.

It's too late cos this afternoon I found out that it was replaced by another commercialized one.

It's another stall holder with chunks of metal accessories and dreadlocks. He wore plastic gloves and slapped the veggie on the poh piah "skin". Replaced by disposable chopsticks and Styrofoam plates.

When I realised I was observing him intently that his hand trembled a little while cutting the spring roll, I looked away and thought: "Why didn't Uncle put up a closing down notice? "
